MITIE IMAGE UPDATE

MITIE Engineering Services (Retail) Limited is part of the large MITIE Group and offers a wide range of design and contracting services to the retail sector including project management, design, construction, commissioning and maintenance.

The company recently moved from their 1960s building in Woking to a new location in Farnham, a modern office complex. Spaceway assisted them in their move and took over the design of the full office scheme.

Stuart Glanville, Business Development Manager at Spaceway explains:

"MITIE Engineering Retail Ltd have grown quickly to a team of 38 staff and were looking for a more modern and customer-focussed office space. They now occupy the ground floor of a two storey modern office building. I made initial contact with the company and we visited a manufacturers' showroom in London to view the types of furniture and styles available. They liked what they saw and we then began our design plan.

It was important to incorporate the firm's corporate colours and the scheme is black, silver and beige with the impressive board room being fitted with a custom-built maple table. The Project Managers also have oversized maple work surfaces over storage units which enable them to unfold their large scale plans.

Managing Director David Harper says:

"We were contacted by Spaceway at just the right time - they were able to design our full office scheme including space planning, workstation design, reception, storage audit, carpet and finishes. Our office accommodation is now perfectly designed for our needs; we have been able to update our image and the fittings of the right quality to provide a welcoming environment for our staff and clients.
